Front Casters

Purchasing the proper wheelchair caster is as simple as measuring the old one. Even if the size is written on the existing caster, you still want to make sure the hub width and bearing size will be correct. Properly measuring will ensure you order the correct caster and prevent an installation headache and the hassle of sending them back. Always purchase new bearings with new caster wheels. There is no guarantee that your existing bearing’s outside diameter will seat properly inside the new caster. Plus the existing bearing has the same amount of wear as the old caster. If your caster has a spacer, that is re-usable.
